About Us
With so much in common, NCAABA and USABC see parallel in their mission. Building a relationship and finding common ground, rather than difference, has offered a winning path to obtaining success for both non-profits. As a result, this collaboration reflects the true spirit of the Asian American: hard work ethic, unwavering faith and resilience even in the face of adversity.
In December, 2000, about 30 heads of various Asian Pacific American business associations and chambers of commerce across the United States convened in Las Vegas, Nevada to meet for the first time. At that meeting, there was urgency in forming an organization that would serve as the voice and conduit of Asian Pacific American business owners in the United States. Thus was born the National Council of Asian American Business Associations (NCAABA).
The US Asian Business Council (USABC) is also a national non-profit organization committed to serving as a strategic partner advocating and developing mutually beneficial relationships amongst the Asian Business community, government institutions, and corporations in the United States and abroad. The US Asian Business Council works to advocate public policies and programs that grow and support Asian Businesses in the global marketplace.
In 2007, the Executive Director of National CAABA and the Managing Director of USABC met in Washington, D.C. and saw a similar need to serve the Asian Pacific American market and its rapidly growing community of successful entrepreneurs on a national level. Currently at 913,000 firms, Asian American-owned businesses generate a total of $306.9 billion in sales with each firm averaging $336,200.
We understand that with this kind of achievement in one ethnic group, it will take more than just one organization to support the makers of this ever-growing economic growth—it will take collaboration and alliances.
There is a growing need, not only to serve, but to unite. We invite you to join forces with National CAABA and US Asian Business Council as we shake hands in accord, “Partnering for Success”.
